ONE WINTERS DAY PLAY

It was one of the first snow days of my life. I was about 5 years old. When I woke up that day it was so snowy. Even though I was homeschooled, that day was a play day (not that I would do my school work even if it was a school day). On this nice day I woke up went up stairs (see I slept in the basement with my three brothers in one room and my sisters in another room) and I opened the door and looked out the window. It was right there a foot of snow at least it was so nice to see so much snow (now when we were homeschooled we could sleep how ever long we like if my mom let us and my brother Jon had like the record for long sleep he went to 3:00PM one time when we were living at that house) so I ran down the stairs knowing my brother would still be asleep.
“There’s snow outside! There’s snow outside!”
My brother said with a muffled voice because of his head still being in the pillow “That’s nice have fun”, and went right back to sleep.
Now I would like to state that it is hard being the youngest of four boys and two girls. Because when your all happy and its all cool to you because its never snows your bigger brothers and sisters are like that’s not cool and leave you in the dust most of the time.
Back to the story so I ran back up the stairs and my mom who was always awake before us and was sitting in a chair. My grandma was making hot cocoa, so I asked if I could have that cup of cocoa. All she said was “No.”
Now well I can say today I’m not scarred by this but I was sad then when she first said it. I asked “Why?” when I was done being sad.
She said “Well it’s for your grandpa but I will make you one if you ask nicely.” So I asked nicely not knowing she was trying to teach me how to be nice. Which I could say was a mean trick to do to a kid my age.
So in came my grandpa saying “I don’t think you will get down to work today.” Now me being a kid I don’t much care for all this and walk out the second I got that hot cocoa. My brothers and sisters all woke up as I was sipping that nice drink and decided we should go sledding and went to ask my grandpa if it was OK. Of course it was OK so we all got ready. My brother Kin had a green coat on and my sister Beth had a red one on. My brother Dan had a blue coat my sister Sarah had a red coat on. Jon had this red with stripe black coat which he loved. I had this gray one on it was nice and warm but I think it made me look like a marshmallow. So we all went outside and there was our dog Jigs he was a black with a white stripe on his head and long hair. And watched over us like a hawk. We all walk about a mile to my grandpas friends home and slid down this nice size hill I could have done it all by my self at least I think but I had to go down with one of my siblings. All together it was fun. As it started to get cold and dark, we went home ate some food and sat around for a bit doing nothing and went to sleep.
I would like to say there was still snow the next day but it was all gone. We had to go back to what we did each day. But I will never forget the smell, sights and what I heard that day. The smell of fresh snow which you would think smelled like nothing and me too but to me it smelled like a clear day in one life. The sight of the snow covering every thing was so cool to me at that age. The sounds of me and my brothers and sisters all working together to go sledding and what fun we had laughing together I will never forget.
THE END

Thomas Aquinas

Thomas Aquinas, also referred to as the Angelic Doctor, was a great philosopher. He was born into a noble family that lived in Naples Italy. His theological system, know as Thomism, was generally recognized as one of the greatest works of human thought. Thomas Aquinas was born around 1225, lived a life of a Roman Catholic, and died in 1274.

DON'T HIT ME

Life is going well so far but I will be going to school and I just hope I won’t be killed. I don’t know what I’m doing and I don’t wish for more advice. I have gotten too much of it and people telling me I need to lay low and stuff like that and if one more person tells me more about it and how I’m going to get beat up I’m going to burst. It’s going to be cut throat for that 1st week. I hope I do good I have never been to a school and I’m so scared but I know God wants me to go so I will and I will try my best. But most of all I hope Kat is not there. So if you read this can you put me in your prayers. See you later

What I've Been Up To

I am sorry for not writing for so long. I will tell you what has been going on for the last week. Before I stopped writing I was going to go to a camp for a week to Train. When I say camp I don’t mean it. This place was horrible. You do not get more than an hour of free time a day. You see I was a 1st year which is so hard. At this place you are training to do five-day clubs and the highest trainee is a year five. For a 1st year it is the hardest and everyone that is there knows it. What we also learned is how to do something we call open air. They taught us how to do the wordless book, and then we went out and did it in some parks. So far I have helped save 11 kids this summer. This next week I will be helping with two five-day clubs.
